I noticed a torn upper ball joint boot today and am having a tough time finding a replacement number. I have a one ton with the early Chevy upper ball joint, Moog K680, but haven't found the number for the boot. Hate to fork out almost $50 for a complete unit if I can just replace the damaged part. Can anyone help me out here?
Thanks, Hal

If you want the original one, we as a automotive jobber can remove the boot
and send it to you and charge you for shipping only.
WE than contact the Moog rep and he authorize a return.
Hardly anyone will take the time to do it as it takes time, but we turn
over enough that it is a standard procedure.
You cannot acquire the boot separately.
The factory cannot pull one of the self as it fouls up their production, so
they will do it when a major supplier requests it.
For you people that are always mentioning great buys, see if any will do
such to help.

Jim,
You did just that for me some years back and I couldn't figure out how you did it.
As (at that time) I was recently an aftermarket rep, I asked an associate if he could get that boot and he could not.
You planning to be at Dothan, aren't you?
If yes, I may want to set an order for delivery there.
