In response to the question of filling the holes on the GMC roof. I'm
using West System Epoxy, specifically their recent formulation called
G-flex. you can purchase it at West Marine store or on Amazon. Buy the
"Thickened" version as it will bridge the holes without fillers, especially
if you do a slight countersink and a heat gun to hasten the cure. G-Flex
does no set up a hard epoxy, it is formulated to flex, hence the name
G-Flex. I used it Bond the fiberglass panel to the SMP when I replaced my
rear window recently. Go to :http://www.westsystem.com/ss/g-flex-epoxy/ WATCH
THE VIDEO ON G-FLEX AND THE KAYAK TORTURE, IT'S A HOOT!

I have used West System epoxies for over 30 yrs and have found it to be an
amazing product in the Shop and on my Boat restoration projects.

Also to seal the seams of the front and rear caps and drip edge I use 3M
5200. It is paint able. I am using an elastomeric white paint with a
thermal barrier from Multiceramics on my GMC. I have also used this
product for over 30yrs. It is a polyurethane formulation from 3M and cures
with moisture.....Complete cure takes 7 days but usable after 2 days. It
is not a silicone. Again I have used it in boat restoration and other
bonding applications. When used on wooden planked bottoms. The
only de-bonding method is use a saw or multi tool to remove. It is
extremely tenacious !
