Hello All,

Suppose I should have expected this given the poor state of the frame, but both fuel tanks on my coach appear to be rusted to the point of no return. Initially they looked good, but that's because they had been repaired with brazing and coated in epoxy. Cleaning them up revealed pinholes, splitting seams, rust inside, etc. I know Applied GMC and Golby sell new tanks, but after paying for shipping, duty, and converting the USD to Canadian pesos, I am looking at north of $3,000 CAD for a set - plus another $500 CAD to replace the rusted senders.

Just wondering whether any Canadian GMCers have any "local" ideas - cheap metal fabricators? Tank RENU? One company in Toronto (Gas Tank Exchange) quoted $725/tank to rehab them - which sounds pricey unless it comes with a guarantee. Who knows - perhaps someone out there either north or south of the border might have a set of used tanks in reasonable condition for sale?

Thanks in advance
