My search for new replacement airbags, which we discussed in another
thread, has resulted in my acquiring, from KB, two spares which may be the
last extant.

My seach also revealed that there apparently is no longer any US supplier
of those bags. However, I exchanged several emails with SDTruckSprings and
finally got this reply, which should be archived for our possible future
use:

-------------------------------------------------------
P/N: A01-760-0335
If you give us a call here and let us know what you're interested in and
how many, we can get it added to the website. We would get it from
Firestone directly .

Give us a call at 1877 774 6473
-------------------------------------------------------

There's no assurance that they can get them, nor that they'll be US made
even if they do, but that appears to be our best shot.

Ken H.

Ken,

The sticker on my Harrison airbag kit only says 0335.

Aren't these two bags direct fit replacements?

http://www.anythingtruck.com/product/280-880335.html

http://www.sdtrucksprings.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=8693

Both the pics and specs appear correct. Is there something I'm missing?

More Harrison bag news: Another GMCer got a different number from Leigh
some years back and has been using:

W 217607325

I found several sources for that number with Google. The prices were all
considerably higher than for the other bag. But at least we have
alternatives now.

I have not compared the specifications of the bags to learn any
differences. It's always possible that Leigh made design changes which
called for different bags at different times. The safest thing to do is
pull one of our own bags and seek duplicates.

Ken,

Talk to Dave Lenzi at Dothan, he's had the Harrison System on his GMC for yonks and IIRC replaced one of the bags with a "larger
bag" to lower the pressure he needs to get to the correct ride height.

Ken & Rob,
Just got off the phone with Dave L on another item that I need to talk to him about. As for the Air bags that Dave runs on his Leigh Harrison 4 bag system, he is running a original size A01-760-0335 and a bigger W21-760-7325 on each side and didn't say which position the bags were mounted, but I bet he has the bigger on the middle bogey side and the smaller one on the rear bogey side. That means that both bags, both and small have the same air pressure going down the road. The A01-760-0335 is becoming “unobtainium” as I have only been able to find it on the Alibaba site as a Firestone item made in CHINA. If you really need to have new bags I would suggest the W21-760-7325 as it is a direct replacement item and is available from many suppliers. I suggest truckspring.com as they have been a lower cost supplier and do free shipping.

That agrees with the other off-line info I was given, so it now appears
that W21-760-7325 is the current best choice.

Thanks,

Ken H.

Jim,

The first place I looked was your catalog, where I didn't find Harrison air
bags. Since you're so deeply into Quad Bag, I wasn't surprised nor
concerned.

More than that, I think it's important that we always try to know of
sources for essential parts and attempt to avoid sole-source situations.
Thus, when Leigh passed away, it became necessary to find new sources.
Even if you'd had them listed, I'd have still wanted another alternative in
case you were out of stock, totally out of reason on price, unavailable, or
whatever.

Thanks for being there -- but I don't want you to be our SOLE source;
that's not healthy. :-)

We are the largest supplier, not much we do not supply.
We have three people handling orders and tech info 6 days a week and I'm
around from 7:30-9, 6 days a week.
We finally got in the front cockpit Full sliding glass from Jim Bounds to
sell (at same price)
If it was not for over 30 suppliers that let us handle their products, we
would no longer be a one stop shop that carry these parts.
Ken , your on the top of our list as suppliers to us.
