When I bought my 26' coach the PO generously included many spare parts - including a Dometic Duo Therm heat pump (model 630515.321). It is one of a pair previously installed in a Class A motorhome and was remotely controlled. Has anyone installed one of these in an GMC coach?

Paul,
I'm guessing that unit will be a fairly easy swap. The thermostat may be an issue since the old unit is cooling only and a heat pump will need to have heat settings on the T-stat too. As far as I know, most (all?) RV AC units fit a standard size 14" X 14" opening.

Paul,
Forget what I said about the thermostat. I must have had a little brain freeze last evening and after thinking about it, I realized the AC unit has it's own self contained controls and the thermostat should be part of the interior trim.
Will you and Cathy be at the Saguaro Jetset rally on the 10th - the 13th? Hopefully we'll see you there.

Hi Carl,
I think you were right the first time. From some internet research, it appears this model is designed to be used in only ducted systems with a remote control/thermostat, as there is no interior panel P/N. (That is also consistent with what Scotty described.) I'll give Dometic a call to see if they have any suggestions/options.
Thanks!
PS: Cathy and I won't make the March ralley but will the April (assuming there is one?) - we were both too sick to attend Tombstone and were sad to miss it!

We missed you guys too. It was a great rally. Hope you're feeling better.
I don't know whether there is going to be an April rally, we'll probably try to do something.
