During the 17+ years I've had the Harrison 4-bag system installed (thanks,
Jim Bounds), I've never had a moment's trouble with them. I've
consequently given them little thought or attention. Today I pulled the
middle and rear wheels to facilitate brake bleeding and general equipment
inspection. The bags are showing age cracks at their extremities, so it's
time to either carry a spare or just replace them all. Probably replace
them.

Does anyone have the Firestone P/N for those bags handy? I can find it,
but why disturb my laziness if someone's more organized than I? :-)

TIA,

Ken H.

Thinking further about this -- whom do we ask to have the air bag part numbers added to the online parts list? And also the GMCMI parts interchange?

After market systems are not usually listed in the parts interchanges. Replacement Rear Suspensions, TruTracs, Ramco Mirrors,
WindWings, trailer hitches, one ton front ends, rear brake reaction arms, .... Just lots of things that we all know are nice
additions to the coaches are not actually an interchange but a total change.

It would be nice though. Get it all together and I'll enter them under separate or sub headings.

Good morning,

Please do submit any part numbers and enhancements for the GMCMH to
admin@gmcmi.com. We are currently updating all of the NAPA numbers with the
assistance of Mark Elmer and Annette. The next paper publication of the
index will be mailed out in the Spring mailing.

In reference to enhancement parts for the GMCMH, the GMCMI parts
interchange already does include some parts and is working with the GMCMH
vendors to accomplish this task.

Thank you all for your support.

Ken and I had a discussion late last night on the air bags used on the Harrison and the Buskirk 4 bag systems.

The buskirk 4 bag system is much more robust than the Harrison 4 bag. The structural steel is much heavier and the bag mounts are raised for more leverage. The airbags used on the Harrison system are a W01-358-3400 ($104) 7.25” dia and 2.75 min ht. and the bag that we use on the Buskirk system are W01-358-6910 and they 8.88 in dia and 3.12 in min ht. are physically bigger that the number used on the Harrison.

Go to truckspring.com and put the bag numbers in the search field and you can get the drawing for each bag, several manufacturers, plus pricing. This place is the best for pricing anywhere in the US including Amazon and they have free shipping.

Thanks to all for the replies, especially JR, who put me on the correct
trail.

The P/N shown here is correct:
http://www.bdub.net/Airbag_Systems_Comparison.pdf I don't recall who built
that, but they did a great job -- Thank You. It might be interesting to
add, just for historical information, the Buskirk and Ken Rose systems,
plus any other no-longer-made ones.

Prices for the W01-358-3400 have generally gone up, but that's not all the
story. There's an ad for those bags on eBay at a price of just over $68,
delivered. But there's a problem with that -- the photos show a
non-convoluted bag. The vendor's web site shows the correct configuration
for that P/N, but at a cost of over $121. In answer to my query, they said
"...the web site's wrong, order from the web site...". I'm still waiting
to hear what they'd like to charge me for 4 of them. I've found another
source at $101.

I'll keep Y'All posted.

W01-358-3400 is NOT correct. The harrison bags have an offset fill port.
That one has the fill port in line with the bolt holes.

I have a pair of new harrison bags I will part with for $50 each plus shipping.

The SDTruckSprings link shows the inline fill port, which is consistent with what I've had problems with before.
See: http://gmc.mybirdfeeder.net/GMCforum/index.php?t=msg&rid=0&th=22753&goto=178244

The part number on the airbags I got from Leigh are Firestone A01-760-0335.

You can also use W21-760-7325 which is a little bigger, same as the ones used on the quadbag
but with the correct offset fill port for the Harrison setup.

pretty sure the picture on amazon is incorrect. The firestone tech sheet shows the in-line fill port,
same as the various truckspring sites:

Karen,

Sold.

My mailing address is in GMCMI roster -- or I'll send it off-line.

Check, PayPal, ... ? After you find the shipping cost.

I'll check the numbers on the ones I pull to try to help with the ...3400
question.

My own Harrison kit. Has Firestone airbags with a sticker on the endplate with the number 0335. On various websites, I see two different bellows for that part number. One similar to mine and another that resembles the W01-358-3400 on the Amazon link that RC provided. All 0335's that show the fill port are offset.

SDtrucksprings search engine doesn't respond to A01-760-0335. It does respond to 0335 and shows an airbag with an offset fill port and a picture that is strikingly similar to the picture of the W01-358-3400 shown on RC's Amazon link. Maybe Amazon's selling the correct part with the wrong part number or vice-versa. I would definitely confirm before purchasing. It looks as if these two airbags are interchangable except for the fill port. Which may not matter depending on the application.

With the exception of the airbag shown on RC's Amazon link all of the W01-358-3400 pics I can find show a center drilled fill port.

I did find a 0335 clone. http://www.anythingtruck.com/product/280-880335.html

I'm inclined to agree with KB and thanks for the W21-760-7325 part number. That looks interesting.
