Hey Guys...

Got the Onan running putting out power after replacing the carb and control board. Now I need the following:

New choke unit or a way to put electric choke on?

New lighted on off switch for the Control Panel inside the coach. The light on the switch is on when the generator runs and you can shut off the generator at this switch but not start it? I assume that the switch is bad?

Thanks guys!!

Steve

Could be corroded connectors. Check continuity on the wire from pin 3 on the board to pin 3 on the remote switch panel (check your manual to make sure I got that right, my notes say pin 2 is the start switch on the remote panel). If no continuity, clean connectors.

Check the connection in line.
Depending on the year, you can have a connector about a foot or longer away
from the board that can be corroded .

Also take the switch apart and clean the contacts.

It probably is an open connection that Jim K referred to.
