My 74 canyonlands has the mechanical air valves on the dash in it's usual bad spot with a table over them. Wasn't much to figure how to add electric controls other than coming up with a good dependable 12vdc air valve, I think 4 with flow restrictors would be what I need, 2 fill and 2 release air. Has anyone had experience with good dependable valves that won't hang up at the wrong time and become dangerous, E bay and amazon has plenty, I guess to many choices is the problem. Any ideals or suggestions. Thanks in advance.

Since the lines are already there, simply replace the stock valves with those provided by J.R. Slaten and forget about them.

Thats the ones I have, I just want to put the controls at my fingers where the ash tray was. I have also replaced the auto level valves and the left works fine it is on the trailing bogey and the right will not go back the same spot in auto with the new or old valve,it's setting are dynamic, might be something to do with it being on the leading bogey. I've heard that the mechanical valves, particularly the right one, are not known for being very accurate.

WHAT YOU "HEARD" IS NOT CORRECT, IF THE HEIGHT CONTROL VALVES ARE FUNCTIONING PROPERLY THEY CONTROL THE RIDE HEIGHT WELL.

Yes that's the ones I have. I got the new level valves and adjustable rods from Jim K and I mean travel when I say auto.

Forgot to mention I'm mainly after being able to quickly raise up back end in traffic safely without having to lean over and take my eyes off the road. Those manual valves are not very accessible when driving.

One of our suppliers (Continental Electronics) made some air drive RF switches which we all loved and bought. Based on their success in over - the - horizon radar sets, where the valves ran 24 hours and switched the things a classified but high number of times a minute and worked well. In the broadcast switches they became a common failure mode, the eventual reason being found to be that they weren't being exercised much. The valves don't seem to like being left alone, they like to be used it seems. Left alone they stuck, leaked, and otherwise behaved in an unusable manner.
I'm puzzled about your front and back bogies, my coach has only one height sensing valve which controls the air in the one air bag, which raises and or lowers both bogies on that side. What am I missing here?
And while I'm missing things, define 'rapidly raising' the back end  I've a ViAir constant duty compressor, and 'quickly' with it is a couple of minutes.

On the left side the level control is on the rear bogey and on the right it's on the front bogey so they could use the same valve for both sides . I have a set up like the mark/sully bags(. Built my own brackets)that work off of lower pressure and get full up in 30 seconds when the tank is full.

If you want the system to work correctly, you need six valves.
2 - Fill / Raise
2 - Vent / Lower
2 - Auto / Travel
I don't think you need any flow restrictors. The port size of the valve should do a good job of that. Have though to hunt up the valve set and panel from an EL1 coach?
I have purchased many solenoid valves in my history and usually end up with ASCO or Skinner. Both of those can be opened for cleaning which is really all they ever need. That often takes a special pin-spanner.
