I had seen the thread before but cannot locate it. As the title says, which make and model would I be able to use that I can switch on to help on startup or when there may be vapor lock? Also, where is the best place to locate it? I'd like to use this to occasionally augment the stock mechanical pump which I'd like to have remain in operation. Thank you in advance. Larry

Search for Carter 4070. Mount as near the fuel tanks as possible. If you place a switch on the dash just for the fuel pump, you can control it as needed. There is a thread with details of connecting it to the auxiliary fuel selector switch. I think that is a good idea, as you do not have to cut a hole in your dash or suspend something under it. Would keep a clean look to the cockpit. My P.O. cut a hole in the dash.

Have a look here: http://www.gmcmhphotos.com/photos/g6198-cane-9-creek-rv-park-heflin-2c-al.html those are Mr Gasket low pressure pumps. If you go this route, buy the WIX filters for the pump inputs. The cheeep chinee ones supplied will loosen at the point of manufacture closure and allow air to be pulled in. The relay is driven off the selector switch, each pump pulls from its respective tank, and they have check valves at their outputs internally. This installation removes the stock pump, I carry a new one in my spares kit should the electrics fail. The selector valver is simply capped and left in place. I can revert to stock in 30 minutes beside the highway if I have to.
