Been there. Done that. The 78 Royale convertible had it's original black, with chrome on each side. I wanted to keep it stock. So I spent a lot of time, effort, and money to get it back to stock.. Only to find out on our first trip. That some gas overfill at the gas station distorted the plastic chrome trim instantly. I happened to be talking to Jim K at Applied on the phone right after I got the trim on. That's when he told me that I wouldn't be happy with it. ( Dam. I hate it when he's right.) So this time on this 78 Royale. The Mouse House. I saved a lot of time, effort, and money. And just got the black precut trim from Jim K. I'd strongly suggest you do the same. Bob Dunahugh
