I have changed a few brake boosters on 73-76 coaches but this is the first 77-78 one I have done. I have total respect and admiration of anyone that have done it. My hands and arms look like I showed up with bare knuckles to a 5 hour sword fight. The only trick I learned was to not wear my artificial leg which allowed me to get in the dash to places that were unaccessable.

Chuck,

IIRC Kerry Pinkerton said something about drilling a hole in his dash to make getting to the booster nuts behind the dash easier.
Maybe he can be coaxed to post a picture of what he did on the PhotoSite.

You cut a piece out of the lower dash with your gmc tool (fein oscillating ) it's the easiest way there's pics somewhere it sure made a difference braking night and day get the booster at the co- op
