Hi Kim,

Thanks to you and the GMCMI board for putting together this novel and exciting rally that breaks from the all too common GMC rally format. Let us all know what we can individually do to promote attendance by owners of these other FWD vintage motorhomes. It should be a blast and one that we will try to make a part of our 2017 spring adventures. I would love to see many west coast GMC owners do the same.

All four of the west coast clubs are jointly sponsoring a fall 2016 rally at Coos Bay, OR, so see if you can work up some promo materials to display there. Sharon and I would be happy to take them to the rally for you (better yet, come yourself!).

"A Celebration of Vintage Front-Wheel Drive Motorhomes"
March 24-30, 2017 | Heart of Oklahoma Exposition Center, Shawnee, Oklahoma

This Convention will be a celebration of our vintage GMC Motorhomes, and
ALSO other classic front-wheel drive motorhomes such as the Revcon, Cortez,
Travoy, Tiara and Silver Motor Coach. Plans are being made to share
information and have some fun with the owners of these classics. This
facility has been selected to enhance the opportunity for seminars,
meetings and fellowship involving all these diverse and yet similar
vehicles and their owners. Make your plans to join us. If you have
information on these motorhomes and their owners, please email me so that I
can reach out to all of them and invite them to join the fun.

Additional information about these vintage front-wheel drive motorhomes is
available at: http://www.gmcmi.com/2017s-conv-info/

Good morning Jerry,

We are excited about the possibilities of the 2017 Spring Convention as
well. The Shawnee facility offers 32,000 square feet on the main floor with
an additional seven meeting rooms on the second floor (accessible by
elevator & stairs) that will assist in additional meetings/tech sessions
that may be needed for the front-wheel drive motorhomes. We will have
indoor vendoring plus the capabilities to drive a GMC right into the
building for hands-on tech sessions. Plus the RV Park hosts 361 full
hook-up sites and four comfort stations containing showers, washers, dryers
and restrooms. Hope that you can make it part of your 2017 adventures.

Thank you for the invitation to forward promo materials on the 2017 Spring
Convention. We have started to put together information about these
coaches. Bill Bryant has shared many ads, brochures, etc. of these
front-wheel coaches that will be shared in the future. Take the opportunity
to check out the page on the gmcmi.com website that has been pulled
together so far. One rather interesting item was the Silver Motor Coach
that looks like a GMC Motorhome on the outside! Check it out at
http://www.gmcmi.com/2017s-conv-info/. If you have information on these
front-wheel drive motorhomes and their owners, please email me so that I
can reach out to all of them and invite them to join the fun.

My husband and I would really like to entertain the possibility to attend
the fall 2016 rally at Coos Bay, but unfortunately the GMCMI Fall
Convention in Mansfield, Ohio ends on Thursday, October 6 with tear-down on
Friday, it would pose a rather difficult trip: to travel 2,661 miles in
less than 3 days. But we personally wish the best for your fall rally.

Safe travels and see you soon! kim

Jerry,
I need to say that Kim was the one that came to the board with the idea for
this innovative get together.
We did the easy thing by approving her plan.

Have you been contacted by any Tiara owners? I'm not aware of any active owners in the region, and as I am the Ultravan/Tiara Club registrar I'd be very interested to know. Thanks!
