I neglected to talk about one of the more important aspects of this EFI upgrade - the fact that the fuel management system (surge tank) allows you to have a nearly instant backup on the road. Some voice concerns about a modernization like this because they claim no one can work on it if there is an issue while on the road. I find that a valid concern, if true. In this case it is not true.

Because the way the fuel management system works (it mimics the float valve in the Qjet carb) you can feed it with any low pressure pump including the stock mechanical fuel pump. I put a union in line near the location of the mechanical fuel pump so in just a few minutes I can reinstall the original Mechanical fuel pump to carb line. That means four nuts and unplug one connector and the throttle bloody comes off and the carb goes back on. Reconnect the carb fuel line and you are running just as you were before the upgrade. I think it can be done in less than 30 minutes from the top without ever climbing under the coach.

Once you get home you can do whatever diagnostics are required and go right back to EFI in the same 30 minutes. I find this a win-win.
