Due to the fire. Access from the top isn't possible. But everything underneath is fine. So can I still get both tanks out? I have two warm days to get the tanks out. And the drivetrain. It's going to be above 30. Next week highs are expected to be around 15 above zero. Need to boogie on this. Bob Dunahugh 78 Royale

Bob,

IIRC, all Coachmen tanks' connections were slip joints (grommets with
inserted pipes). If that's the case, seems to me all you've got to do is
remove the straps holding the tanks up and lower them. For peace of mind,
I guess the thing to do is get a hold on any stubs you can reach and pull
them up first.

My Birchaven had glued ABS joints from the top (on ABS tanks). I tried pulling them from the top and just ended up busting the tops of the old tanks. The tanks were busted anyway so no skin off my teeth, but if you do have ABS tanks you might want to try to get a clean cut on the pipes from the top before dropping them from below. I'm replacing them with PE tanks and slip joints.

Coachmans did different things, so it's hard to know till one looks at it
from the top.
