And all you need to come up with is a source for TH425’s and you’ll be golden!

if they can build a delorean, maybe they can manufacture a new GMC motorhome.

That exemption only applies to a very small volume--I think 200 or less. Although if someone decided to build the GMC again they may sell 1 or 2 at the price it would take to make any money.

Brand new bodies etc of classic cars tend to be available for classics that have both relatively high volumes and high value....

ie 60's Mustangs and Camaros,

and sometimes a lot of luck when the original tooling gets transferred to a heritage business....

Like the MGB, Midget, classic Mini.....

Whilst some GMCs still command high prices, its still not close to the cost of building a brand new one......
Its possible that over time that the supply of rebuildable coaches will decline, and the number of reproduction parts
increase to the point that one could build a brand new coach....but that seems unlikely (unless we get a very rich and energetic person addicted...Smile)

As it we are in a pretty good position, with most parts, or alternatives, available, a corrosion resistant body and vendors willing and able
to completely rebuild a coach if you have the money (but less money than it would take to buy a new RV of even remotely the same quality and class)or
supply parts for you to do it yourself.

If you're gonna do it, Make it the full legal width. The extra width in the coach makes A LOT of difference in usability.

Seconded.....too many narrow lanes, narrow roads to want it any wider than it has to be.

If you make it wider, might's well to make it longer. Now you have an SOB, NOT a GMC. If you ever had fun in a Mini Cooper, you know the current auto is merely a standoff copy. Whether it's better or worse is debateable, but it ain't the same car.
