I've got those rear lights in. ( And thanks for the help on how to cut the body ) This GMC came with 2 big manual back lights mounted on the rear frame bumper bracket. Since the switch, and wiring is there. Thinking that an auxiliary light might be handy. Plus more light for backing. Anyone seen an attractive light for this use? It sure will be nice when this project is done. Because that will slow me down on coming up with more ideas.Bob Dunahugh.

I find the stock backups sufficient for not whacking anything when I turn it around in the yard, but for hooking up a tow, more light would be welcome. You could center mount one of the bright flat LED panels behind a clear cover and switch it separately.

Johnny Bridges gave me a great idea. There's going to be a wall across the back that will cover the entire back window. As I'm installing a Corion drive in shower for Linda. I'm putting a rear camera at the top of the window. The light bar could be at the bottom for reducing light getting to the camera. And with the tint on the window. Nothing will be seen from outside. Thanks Johnny. Bob Dunahugh.78 Royale

Bob,
We have a solid fiberglass panel that cover the rear glass and leave the
glass in and acts as a insulator and people paint a mural there.

Bob -
R C Jordan had a light at Wekiwa this year which ought to work. very bright LED panel, he used it as a porch light. You could probably mount it inside the back window, and if it was inside some sort of opaque holder sealed to the glass, you wouldn't get any light to amount to anything inside the coach.

Get a cheap large flatscreen and mount it inside the back window. Feed it a signal from a camera aimed out the windshield. People behind you can now see in front of you! When you need extra light for the back deck, put a white index card in front of the camera and light up the entire window! A bonus is that you could have pre-printed messages on cards to place in front of the camera, or hook it up to a small computer and generate the messages on the fly, depending on what needed to be communicated to anybody behind you Rolling Eyes What fun! Here's the move for folks behind you:

We used them throughout the studios. They'll store a message, and you can feed them serially with your laptop on the fly. Sine Systems makes a nice little controller, but it's expensive. Easier to let your lap top - or a Raspberry Pi - run it. They're also dot addressable if you want to roll your own graphics. If I remember right, the outboard supply was 12 volts.

I've seen a few of those going down the road...wanted it in the rear window (and side windows)soooo many times Twisted Evil. I have to restrain myself from doing at least 75% of the ideas I think of because they will surely get me into trouble... Cool

Emery, I've been on Percocet and Norco for the last six months as I wait for
my 2nd back surgery. I agree, they are the bee's knees when you're in pain,
but they are potentially very dangerous drugs. Glad to hear that you
continue to heal and improve.

I know what you mean. I was in the hospital for 6 days and then in rehab for
7 weeks. First I was on oxicontin then they took me off that and put me on
dialysis. I got withdrawal symptoms. Then on Percocet which is oxycodone
and acetaminophen. These three drugs were taken for almost three months.
Each time they switched drugs I got withdrawal from the previous one. I
know I needed them for the pain but I sure didn't like the addiction part.

My wife told me that on the first drug I did get hallucinations. That is one
of the reasons they switched to another drug. I can see why druggies like
them though. I didn't have a care in the world and time flew by quickly.

Hope you recover quickly

Jim,

They gave me 5mg of slow release Oxycodone in the morning and evenings in the rehab hospital when I was in there for my knee and it
worked well. They also offered me 5 mg thirty minutes before I went to do my exercises which I took the first morning. Everything
went well for the workout so when they came back in the afternoon and offered it again I declined because everything went so well
during the morning session.

BIG MISTAKE!

The reason everything went well was BECAUSE I had taken the oxy without it I was in a world of hurt! DOUH!

Needless to say I didn't make that mistake again!

A several weeks ago I woke up and EVERYTHING hurt so I "stole" one of Helen's 10 mg oxy tablets and took it. Once again BIG MISTAKE
- I got seriously dizzy and had problems keeping my balance.

Rob M.
