I'm having to get a lot of outside issues taken care of before I can move forward on the inside. The clearance lights have been an item that I've been avoiding due to all the clear silicon around them. And cleaning that silicon up wasn't fun. Plus it didn't stop the leaks anyway. First removed the original lights, and cut the two wires as close to the light as possible. Used a single edge razor blade to remove all residue off the paint. Being careful to not mar the paint. I then buffed the paint in that area. As to the front light nut inserts. Those don't have to be removed. The new light cover them very nicely. I would strongly suggest removing the two rear nut inserts per light. A sealant would be recommended if the nuts weren't removed. I got the LED clearance lights from Jim K at Applied. My thought is that if I get them from him. I know the fit will be right for our GMC roof contour. The back lights fit the roof perfectly. The fronts had some clearance in the centers. But as I tightened the lights down. Perfection. Thanks Jim for another fine product. The only thing I changed. Was I used SS screws. ( As a note ) I moved the right rear clearance light inboard so it wouldn't interfere with the awning that's coming up later.Bob Dunahugh78 GMC Mouse House
