Hi ken,

http://www.m4products.com/

They were an event sponsor for the three club rally at Coos Bay, OR a few years ago. Great folks and easy to work with. They even came up with a custom piece to fit the bullet lights in the Clasco where none of the standard bulbs had enough reach. I think you will find everything one needs to do a complete conversion of any of our GMCs no matter the age or the upfitter.

I'm not going to be much help on this except to say something is available.

Dan Gregg gave me one that was warm white and all of the light pointed forward out of the lamp and is the shape of the original spot lamp. I love it
but have never been able to figure out where he got it. I want one for the other side.

Jerry,
Do you recall their part number for the custom bulb you mentioned?

G'day,

I replaced all the 1156 bulbs in Double Trouble with these:

http://www.campingworld.com/shopping/item/led-directional-bulb-with-bayonet-mount-connection-6-pack-/58255

The light they produce is WAY more pleasant than the 1156 bulbs, read the reviews.

There are two downsides:

1) you have to bend the socket away from the reflector a bit or you won't be able to turn these bulbs to get them in. When you do
that you need to put a small 6/32 screw through the hole with a nut behind it to hold the socket to the reflector or you will break
the socket off the reflector. Been there, done that! ;-(

2) the price is HIGH - I got lucky a couple of years back and found them for $11.00 or so each. Don't ask where I got them because I
don't remember and I've already looked to see if I could find any emails that discussed them but no luck. Sorry!

Regards,
Rob M.

Nothing wrong with the Shotwell approach, along with being pedantic you could say, I have more money than sense! ;-)
