Hi - I would like to hear from folks that have made repairs to the cap - materials and process. Before I start work on 40+ year old fiberglass, I would like to find out what others have done.

Thanks
Les

Les,
To clarify what your talking about, is it the inside front cap in the cockpit area or the SMC cap on the outside? The inside is not fiberglas and I have used
JB weld and fiberglass cloth to repair and strengthen the cap. For the out side cap it is made out of SMC fiberglas which is the same as the early corvettes. You will need a West System repair kit #105K. These Kits are epoxy bases and not polyurethane based.

Thank you. This is the type of information I am looking for. The outside cap needs repair. The inside front cap is junk and fell apart as I took it out. Fortunately, I had another one.
