We're looking for the black, sort of dense, foam rubber seal that closes off the hole in the plywood floor next to the driver's seat where the fuel fill tube passes through the floor.

My parts book shows it on page 12-2, illustration 12.001 and number 42 in the illustration.

The illustration indicates it to be a circular item, but it's elliptical and a little more complex a shape than shown.

The seal is roughly 4 inches wide x 6 inches long with rounded ends. It is an inch or so thick with a lip to keep it from falling through the floor.

The next page, 12-3, indicates it to be Key number 42, part no. 719206.

Anybody got one?

Or alternatively, anybody know where to get that kind of foam rubber?

We've posted a note in the Swap Meet section.

Thanks

Don,
I had an extra one that you can have. I'll have to find it when I get home and let you know tonight.

Thanks so much, John.

The response to this note was very surprising; John called, literally, one hour after we posted this note. The GMC Forum members and the Forum is excellent!

We still need one more seal if anyone has another.

Thanks again,
