State Farm is looking into a fire recall on the frig. So that they maybe able to subrogate to the manufacture. The major problem is that the Nebraska State Fire Marshal that was on the scene that night. Jumped to a conclusion early on that night, that I started it. Thus didn't do a proper investigation of doing a complete, and total job after he came up with that arson idea. State Farm intervened on my behalf. With the Fire Marshal's office. I'm so grateful to State Farm for all the extra effort to clear me of the arson charge. If that arson charge would have stuck. State Farm wouldn't had to pay a dime. I didn't have any fixed value on the 78 Royale. 16 days after the fire. State Farm had a $25,000. check in my hands. Plus the burned GMC. I will be getting the following undamaged items. 7 new alum rims, and tires. ( 4100 miles on them. ) $2700 worth of new parts on the front end, new radiator, heater core, rebuilt trany, 3:70 final drive, 6, 2 year old shocks, new exhaust, rear sway bar, and Quad bag system. Other original items are, 2 good gas tanks, generator, torsion bars, engine, complete rust free frame, nice bumpers, body panels from the beltline down, And a complete front clip with grill.Bob Dunahugh78 Royale

Well to be fair, said flunky is likely underpaid, overworked, underfunded, undertrained, has old technology and long experience with folks setting fire to vehicles to collect the insurance.....
And Arson call does not necesserily imply the owner set the fire......fires are often set by criminals to cover their tracks.

paid flunky that took the easy way out.

Bob,
That's sure a relief, getting that check, and the motorhome, too. I do wonder how old the frig was as an estimate. I have bought a Jim B extinguisher for the refrigerator area. Scares me, though one of the pictures I saw in Bdub's post showed what looked like an obvious generator compartment fire.

Rob. When we go and rent these road race tracks to do our high speed track events from coast to coast. The track is locked down to keep the public out. In this way we get a reduction in cost due to less insurance liability. And we just don't want strangers around very rare, and expensive cars. At about 1 AM. The F M asked me if there was anyone there that had a grudge with me. I said absolutely not. As we compete against each other all the time. And have fun driving each other's cars at times. At that time in the morning. The F M had already decided that it was arson. And there was a very limited number of people there. About 20. And since I had ruled everyone else out. Thus I was guilty. PERIOD to him. Thus from that time. Till I just got the GMC out of Nebraska. And out of his jurisdiction. There was no reason to be nice, or angry to him. But now I'm going to his supervisor, along with State Farm. Because SF isn't very happy with the lousy job the F M did. As now SF may have lost their chance to subrogate the damage claim. My big problem is that I talk openly to the F M that night. And made myself the major person of interest. If I ever get into any situation like that again. It will be simpler. I KNOW NOTHING. And have nothing to say. PIROID.Bob Dunahugh78 Royale
