I finally got around to posting pictures of the little hotrod pickup I brought to Bean Station a while back.

http://www.gmcmhphotos.com/photos/g6485-the-toad.html

Chuey at Wade's Paint and Body sprayed it refrigerator white for me. It's kinda fun for picking on kids at stoplights on Saturday. As long as they don't hear it idling, which sort of gives it away. It carries two spares, you don't want to put different diameter wheels on the back in case of a flat. I have a gas tank, I am trying to see if it will fit - I'd like to ditch the safety cell. It takes too much room in the bad, you can't haul stuff. The ignition is identical to the GMC 'cept for the shaft and gear. It's curved a bit differently. It gets a new windshield next month - I can't get the lettering off easily, and this one is cracked. Interior is sort of rough. No heat or A/C though there's room to add both back. I think. If an interesting trade comes along, I'll swaop it off. Otherwise it's sorta handy as a spare toad, garbage hauler, and Saturday Fun Machine.

Nice little truck -- thanks for sharing.
And before Rob sees it - "bad location for a plastic fuel filter".
Actually heard the same advice for GMCs and MGBs.

Cool sleeper. Can't you just razor blade the lettering off the windshield?

I could probably blade the letters off, but the windshield is cracked in the driver's wiper arc several places. It needs replacing. I've a right angle firewall mount filter for it, the one you see is a 'get-by'. And it's a 302. I need to pull the trans out (T-5) and have it looked at, it gaunches into second. Too many powershifts, I suspect. I looked at a Coyote motor, but I don't think it would stuff in without major surgery and relocation.
Actually, the little thing is surprisingly well balanced and fun to drive as it is.
