I guess my posts are still going to the email list also?

I USE GOOGLE CHROME AND IT WORKS FINE.
I mentioned it to bdub and may give it another try soon but I am familiar with project build threads as we do them frequently at
ADVrider and other forums. they can work quite well as its allows discussion. here however, it does seem to inspire interrogative
tactics for whatever reason?

Bud, you've invested a hell of a lot of time, and the coach is looking good at this point. I wanna see it finished, bring it to Dothan next year. As to the twitting etc, it ain't worth the time.
As to the bogus numbers - which they are - consider this. What if someone stole the coach, or otherwise acquired it without a good title somewhere in the last 35 - 40 years? Given its age, I could title it tomorrow in Alabama, and I believe here (Georgia) also on the strength of a simple written bill of sale. The DMV clerk isn't gonna give a rat's rectum about the number sequence. Georgia doesn't look for correct sequence in V.I.N.s of GMCs, mine it titled under the Norris Coach build number cos that's what the numbnuts in the Florida DMV saw without opening the hatch to get the proper TZE. It's a colossal PIA to change it, so I've left it as is. The Registry has the proper TZE and that's what matters. What bugs me is, I keep thinking I've seen the damn thing someplace - Craigslist or I drove by it or something, and passed it as being way beyond my capabilities to do anything with. Kudos to you for taking it on and (eventually) getting it back on the road. If you can stand to have it looked at, send me a PM - people here will tell you, I respect confidences.

To the UNAVAILABLE. Everyone is welcomed to this site. It's truly like a wonderful tight knit family. An going to the fall GMCMI rally. And without our GMC. Showed Linda, and I just how tight knit these people are. And so open to newcomers. At any of these GMC gathering around the country. It's really great to put a face to the name. If everyone on this sight was listed as UNAVAILABLE. This site would probably come to an END. As no one would know who anyone else was. Humans need that personal contact. We all sign our names all over the place. Everyday. If we all chose to just sign UNAVAILABLE. How would that work in this world. As to your comment that this site is a PUBLIC VENUE. It is NOT. This site is PRIVATELY OWNED by a very nice person by the name of Patrick ( Last name withheld at this time ). It is HIS to control as HE sees fit. And Patrick has monitors to keep things in line. That too is Patrick's right to do so. We are all here because of HIS approval. As I personally see it. We as visitors to HIS site. Really have no rights in his house. As I have no rights in your house. I AM NOT his rep here. Just someone that is very thankful for what he, and his monitors are doing for us all. I hope you change your mind. And are allowed to stay. But from here on. If you continue to put UNAVAILABLE. I WILL NOT read, or respond to any of your e-mails. And that is my RIGHT. Mr Robert DunahughA vary happy member of this site.

I've been involved with other sites that were associated with the collector cars I have. All that i'll say about those sites. Is that I'll NEVER go back to their sites, , or their clubs. This GMC group, GMCMI, and the more local groups. Is by a long shot. The most helpful, kind, and generous with their time people that I've ever meet. And forgiving to me for my lack of ability when it come to the computer. As in September. Linda, and I found out firsthand just how much they care about each other's well being. Because our GMC that we loved so much burned in Nebraska. As to the unavailable. I've read very little of it. As to me. I think that something like that is VERY DISRESPECTFUL to some of the kindest people that I have ever had the HONOR of meeting. I DO NOT mean to be disrespectful to anyone. It's just a humble thought.Bob Dunahugh

hi Johnny,
thanks, it does look better now but has a long way togo. and I concur that "the twitting" aint worth the time.
FWIW making a claim is easy, proving one is not always so easy.
yes, and AFAIAA, georgia is a common law land ("in all cases where the common law is competent to give it" ref Savings to suiters clause 1789)
Bill of Sale is the higher title on this land. a certificate of title is just that, a certificate.
this odd number project was acquired with lawful money and a BOS stating just that and with three witnesses autographs.
I appreciate your offer to assist, I may take you up one that sometime. if all goes well this coach will spend some time in Braselton when the rather large, international motorsports events happen there.

well, if at first you dont succeed...
but thanks you very much for your highly respected opinion and input here on this coach and elsewhere on the net.
I, in no way think you are wrong, I do think that you failed to show proof of claim (mainly the bold one) but that is nothing personal so please dont take it that way.
worth considering what that might actually take to prove too. we all make mistakes and the men who assembled this coach (and V.I.N. plate) are no different.
I would like to hear/read more of your opining on my follow up post that took extra effort time which I feel has valid and interesting points to consider if you might decide it a worthy discussion at some point in the future.

I'm lost in the reference to 'claim' and whether one piece of paper or another is the 'higher', Georgia won't sell you a tag unless you've a title. On older stuff, a written bill of sale will get one, newer stuff it won't. Fewer GMCs show up at Road Atlanta than there used to be. I've been making the races there off and on since they built the place. If Bernie Ecclestone ever dies, maybe Panoz can attract the Grand Prix.

you had made the same claim as BBryant (bogus V.I.N.) its understandable and easy. I still catch myself making claims too. its a hard habit to break actually but once I realized it, I started to work on that. making false claims can be trouble if they cause a real man who is competent in common law harm, loss or injury. and its not hard to do when one has been led to believe in falsehoods most of their life. fortunately or unfortunately depending on how you look at it, these courts of competent jurisdiction are few and far between.
Ive made an honest effort to become more familiar with the common law (which sadly, has become very uncommon these days) it has really opened my eyes so to speak.
I dont think I will need a tag on the GMC though, a Private DOT# should suffice but thats an area of study Im still working on (Private Law/Contract Law) but there plenty of time to sort that out before its fully operational.
BTW D. Panoz sold the track to the France Family/NASCAR (Daytona Motorsports Group) a couple of years back.

I think we are all missing a good opportunity here by focusing on something that is none of our business. This individual has been gracious enough to post some very interesting pictures of a major refurbishment that looks like a very nice job. It looks like he he/she has some very nice cars that should also be interesting to us. The issue of vin numbers and plates is his issue not ours. I think we need to look at his ideas and learn something from them. I'm very interested in the bathroom light modifications as well as the power door lock --and I suspect there will be many more items we should be interested in.

My interest was in how that tag got on the coach - it didn't leave Michigan that way. There are myriad possibilities, and it's a minor thing anyway. As to license tag or no tag, I'd put one to save the hassle. I'm interested in what it looks like when you're done.
Perhaps the France folks can attract a GP up here. The County makes a fair amount of money off attendees to the races.

thanks for the kind words and please accept my apologies for being "different" OK?
I'll try to provide some explanations to ease some of your minds. I very rarely use email so to sign up I here I had to first get an email for that. when I first joined the email I used, I almost immediately forgot the password. then when I joined here on the forum, for some reason it wanted me to check that email and since I had no way too without a password.. I just figured I would start over and get another email and re-join the forum.
well that didnt work because the forum still had me automatically signed in under the first login account (which I never used) and I could not log out for whatever reason so that I could re-login with my new (this account 1gmcmh)
I really needed some input from others with experience on these machines on the coaches numbers so I decided to try and join the email list directly at that point. when I joined the list, instead of being dishonorable when it asked for a name, I just put "notavailable" and had no idea that was going to be read by other men/women here, I thought it was just something to make the software happy. but I was being honest, that info was not available.
the reason is not what many of you seem to think either, from my studies in law the things were have taken for granted are not what they seem. things like identity, names, signatures, etc. just about everything actually. its quite astonishing really when you get right down to it.
you should see the expressions of peoples face after thery ask you for your ID in real life and you tell them "youre looking at me". people absolutely glaze over or become hostile when you try to be absolutely honest.
ever see the movie "the matrix"? remember the morpheous charater saying "people are not ready to leave the system [baby-lon] some people will fight to protect it" well, IMO thats kinda a good example of this situation. it goes deeper too but I'll have to refrain becasue I dont want to offend others sensibilities any more than I have here already.
I will say this, each of your autographs are as good as gold and your so called identity is not what you might think it is.
if this has peaked any of your interests and you want to investigate further I suggest starting with a law dictionary (I prefer blacks 4th and 5th editions) look up some key words like res, res-ident, signature, matrix, certificate. those are just off the top of my head but good starting points.
Im not an attorney, and have no desire to be but I do have serious questions about what they are and how their system works and am a do it yourself-er by nature so it was a natural progression for me to go into law study.
so there, I hope that help to ease some of your minds. not everything is how we think it is.
