Well I just got off the phone with Progressive. USAA sent me to Progressive for an Agreed Value policy. Talked with 3 different departments in Progressive. Agent did not understand Agreed Policy and since her database did not list a GMC, SOL.

Anybody get an Agreed Policy thru USAA and have contact direct phone numbers of knowledgeable agents? I'd like to go thru USAA, I think, but if all else fails I'll go another route.

USAA told me they dont offer RV insurence at all. I asked about agreed value for a couple of my collecter cars; they refered me to Grundy. They won't insure RVs either.

I got Agreed Value from Progressive via Hi Sage, in San Diego. I know you are not a CA person but mention it because Progressive said no and to call Hi Sage. Hi Sage moved it right through and when the policy came it was from Progressive. Perhaps there is a company in Georgia that does the same.

I am looking at Good Sam because they have a "not on the road" policy that can lower rates when the coach is parked. Supposedly a phone call can start and stop part of the policy. Of course some stays in effect all the time.

Interesting, I have agreed value from Progressive through USAA. Direct to Progressive, agent says rate is lower via USAA link.

Tom,

I had one an agreed value policy through USAA as well but then cancelled it when we left the USA. When I called in the next year
USAA passed me directly to Progressive, they did write an agreed value policy but that was a several of years ago. The last time I
insured Double Trouble I decided to run the risk and just get liability insurance. The reason being we're only in the USA 3 maybe 4
months a year and the rest of the time it's in storage. Yes, I realize that it could catch fire and burn to the ground in storage,
however, I deem that to be an acceptable risk.

My take on the Agreed policy is that it is only offered through agents that
show very low claims.
When I worked for Ford Motor Corp. I gave several dealers the right to
extend the warranty as they had low claims and knew I could trust their
judgement.
I feel the same goes for the insurance agents of progressive.

I do the Independent Appraisal on the GMC coaches, several of the people
are grateful that they did that as several insurance company consider them
as a valid evaluation of the value of the coach.
Sorry, its not a free service, we charge $ 250.

After the number of replies saying folks were able to get Agreed Value thru USAA by way of Progressive I gave it another try. Email from Steve E said he went thru web site.
So to USAA web site, did not modify existing GMC coverage instead clicked on needing to add another vehicle. When I listed motorhome was sent to Progressive web site. Completed request thru the use of the drop down menus selecting AGREED VALUE coverage. Hit recalculate and there it was. Agreed Value at $40,000 one year for $976. No request for an appraisal yet. Documents are heading my way for signature. Maybe they'll be a request for an appraisal in there. Feel better having the Applied appraisal in hand just in case.

Thanks for all who replied,
