Bob,
The only hard thing that I experienced was getting the visors out, They are a fine thread and take forever to unscrew. The rest is making sure that you have all the screws out and it should come out. Helps if the seats are out and lower the back first and roll it down and out.

Hold it up with a 2x4 cut to length. It only takes one and you'll need it
again upon reinstallation. Dern visors are a PIA. Handle carefully as it
is brittle and cracks easily.

Bob,

It might be a good idea to prop it up so that you can remove all the screws and take it down with help to keep it from flexing it
too much as it might crack or break.

Bob, While you have it down. Repair the cracks that exist. I used a fiberglas tape and epoxy to cover all the cracks. Did not want to take the cap down again. Also think about insulating the cap. I used a microfoil product, that I had purchased for adding to my replacement headliner and a spray adhesive. Did make a difference.
And, as Ken indicates the sunvisors are a PITA.
The back edge of my cap was secured by lots of pop rivets. I don't know if that was factory, but it was such a large number, it was way overkill.
