I'm working with http://www.centuryfuelproducts.com to see if one of
their propane kits would be useable on my 4KW Onan.
I'll post again when I get any information. I would be interested to
hear if anyone else would be intested in this option. They offer two
way (LP/NG) and three way (lp/ng/gasoline) kits for many gas powered
generators and engines.

Sounds like a good idea.
Is there enough space for the attachments?

I talked with GeneF yesterday about the propane conversion that he is
putting together for the 6kw. Sounds pretty sweet. Don't know if it will
fit the 4kw.

I need a little help understanding why you need to switch to a fuel that requires 1/3 more to generate a given amount of electricity and has a smaller on-board reservoir.

I'm really interested in the 6 kW conversion kit. I watched George Beckman's presentation at the GMCWS rally which was excellent. I've got a home standby generator I converted to propane years ago, and appreciate not having cans full of deteriorating gasoline around waiting for the "big one". I hae concerns about where to mount the regulator, and, if the 6kW unit will operate off low pressure propane w/o freezing the regulator. George mounted his regulator in the back of the battery compartment. Mine is stuffed w/ batteries all the way to the back.

GeneF has a bunch of reasons why it would make sense to switch to propane,
but folks with the diesel conversion might be looking at this conversion as
a way of being able to use the fuel tanks for diesel. He will probably come
up with a power point presentation when he's ready...

LPG runs cleaner, both for environmental reasons and your crankcase oil will last longer.

After running our fleet vehicles on CNG, I can attest to a host of other drawbacks.

But, when it’s all said and done, I’m staying with CNG for the fleet.

I’ll have to see how this works out for the coach.

I'm waiting to see what they come up with. You do have a point thatit
is kinda tight where the current air filter is.
I ended up at the site because I have a couple of portable gen sets (a
2k Honda and a 6K Preditor) that I want the LP option for.
