As you know I decided for a new alternator. The camping owner here is very helpfull and ordered a new new ne by my specifications. Ordered it 17.30 yesterday and arrived this morning in nærest town at 10 am
Just one problem. It does not fit
I ordered a delco si 27. 12 volt 100 A neg. Ground. And received a Ainde cgb 10212
Searching the internet for crossreferences I found that it corresponds with a Si 27 1100072. for Mack and Caterpillar. It is a thicker alternator that will not fit the mounting
What did I do wrong ? And what can I do insted?
I can bring it back on monday and get o replacement for tuesday

Sounds like you got a 27SI type 200. You need a 27SI type 100.
The 'Lester' number of a 100 amp alternator that works on my GMC is 7157, 'Lester' numbers are pretty much an industry standard in the auto electric rebuilding business. See if your parts supplier can cross a Lester 7157 to something he stocks.
