I've seem 3 GMC's with this plywood floor section in poor condition. After I got the front seats out. I found the floor plywood that's next to the outside wall vary soft. There are 7 pop rivets holding that floor section in place. I drilled the rivets out. And that floor section lifted out vary easy. So I'm going to get some marine plywood. And make that panel on my table saw. Then apply some rubberized under coating to the bottom side. Then I'm going to put down some epoxy paint to seal the entire floor. If anyone wants some photo's. Bob, I id not think of it when I did the floor.
There is a gap between the floor and the outer wall. This gap allows engineroom smells to enter the cockpit. Sealing this gap will given a cleaner smelling cckpit
