Made it back home to Snellville, GA (Atlanta) Sunday night after a ~4,840 mile round trip. Part one, Atlanta, GA to Austin, TX third week of August for advance deployment of the coach. Part 2, Labor Day week round trip Austin, TX to Lincoln, NE for a week of SCCA Autocross. Trailered my son-in-laws RX8. Very smooth no problems at all. Part 3, This past weekend Austin, TX to Atlanta, GA by way of Lafayette, LA for the Bayou Roundup, pre 1964 hot rods.
Coach ran great for all those miles. Had to change carb filter in Lincoln to solve power issues. No big deal although with a good clean filter the coach feels better running +70 mph than at 60. Like holding back a greyhound. (403, 3.70 FD)
There are a couple of maintenance items that need to be attended to but nothing major. All in all a great trip!

We always like to hear of the successful trip. Good going. The 403-3.70 seems to be a perfect combination. The 403 likes to turn a few RPMs and seems to want to do it all day.

George,
Add an external filter here:
http://www.gmcmhphotos.com/photos/aa-miscellaneous-photos/p54750-fuel-pump-inlet-filter.html
and you won't have to replace the carb filter.

Suggest all owners that can change the carburetor filter to carry a LINE
Wrench as it avoids rounding the nut,
