Well, it has been a long strange trip with our GMC. Different life situations have caused us to put the GMC up for sale for a needed infusion of cash at various times. Most recently, I had it up for sale in order to purchase what we believe will be our final retirement property in Colorado. This property is 40 acres, has multiple water sources (legal with water rights) and is only one mile from the highway and shopping center. When we looked at the views, we realized that this was too good to pass up and that the GMC had to go to help pay for it. Well, I had the GMC for sale for $20k and talked to several of you who were interested but couldn't make it work at that time. Turns out, that is ok as I was able to get the owners to reduce their price another $20k! Thus offsetting the price of the coach.

This property also has a large (1000+ sq ft) garage and workshop so I will be able to keep and work on the GMC under cover. Something I was never able to do when I had to deal with an HOA. All in all, the purchase of this property makes it EASIER to keep the GMC. This Thursday I begin the drive from Va to Co to relocate the vehicle so keep your eyes open on Rt 70w. I will be the GMC going 55 MPH across the country.

I just thought I would let you all know and to thank you for all the help I have received in the past.

Where in Colorado is your new property located?

There are several GMCers
In Colorado with years of experience working in GMC motor homes.
You should consider joining the GMC Mountainaires. We are a local chapter of FMCA and have a few rallies during the spring to fall seasons and a couple of "Coachless Rallies" each year where we drive in our autos to a restaurant for a get together. You are welcome to come to one of our functions before you join if you want to check us out. A very friendly group

I became active with the club when I moved to Colorado in 2011.

Emory,

As soon as the final contracts go through, our new place will be in Conifer just off of Rt 285.

I have contacted the Moutainaires and will be joining as soon as I get the coach back and get settled. I know there is a coachless rally coming up in November, I think, and yes, we are planning on attending.

Thanks!

Bob
