I rarely use my Onan but decided to wake it up in case I needed it this weekend. After some typical fiddling I could not get it to run for more than a few minutes. It wanted to be choked. I realized that the main adjustment screw was tightening itself from the vibration. My inelegant solution was to put a drop of RTV on the screw when I had it adjusted and running smoothly. That seemed to work well, but has anyone run into this before?

The seal on the main jet is worn. That means that it is also likely leaking air.

Best to replace it. An o ring 1/8" I'd x 1/4" od will work fine and it won't vibrate out of adjustment

That is correct but the round one works just fine.

Probably true, I replaced that O ring this spring so the original lasted about 39 years longer
