Has anybody ever (successfully) dyed vinyl seats to a different color? I have a nice set of flexsteels
that a friend would like to use, but they're too pale. Just had the thought that maybe the
color could be changed to something darker. They make spray dye for vinyl, but I don't know how it would hold up.
thanks,
Karen

I've used SEM Products dye and paint and am thrilled with it.
http://www.semproducts.com
I get it online and from CarQuest.

I've used both spray and brush on dye on older cars and it seems to stand up great. Don't forget that most leather seats on todays cars are actually painted.

they come up regularly on craigslist, especially via auto dismantle-rs. Cloth ones are quite common, leather less so.
Price ranges from free to way too much.
