I just got a 78 GMC motorhome 23'. I have removed both fuel tanks for line replacement. I wanted to just reinstall the rear main tank and leave the front one out. I would cap the filler pipe outlet for the front tank. I also am going to installed as much hard line as I can to prevent a rubber line from causing a fire. I think 25 gal of fuel is plenty these days as gas stations are closer together then they were back then. This would also lighten the couch up some and prevent the fuel transfer caused by going up and down hills. What are your thoughts on this? I will use the Onan pickup tube that is already in the rear tank this way the Onan wont drain the tank. I will still have a 1/4 tank once the Onan's pickup starts sucking air.
