I bought a1973 23ft coach in Sault St. Marie Ontario about 3 years ago and with no previous experience with a GMC (and no tools to speak of) drove it to Calgary as fast as it would go. Non stop too for a total of 1,700 miles. The old girl didn’t miss beat.
About 3 months ago my son bought a 26ft coach in Ontario (close to Niagara Falls) and drove in straight through to Calgary non stop. They had a brief hiccup, but a disassembly of the carburetor, a clean and reassembly fixed that. That trip was 2,100 miles.
Hopefully you will share in this good luck (or is this good old iron doing what it has always done, just keeping on going)
