Does anyone know if the original oil pressure sender is for a 60 or 80 psi gauge ? or if the original gauge range is 60 or 80 psi ?

The Advance replacement puts mine at half scale, which the DigiPanen calls 40PSI.. which would indicate 80 PSI full scale.

It would be an 80 PSIG sender. The gauge does know or care what sender it is attached to as long it is a 0 to 90 ohm sender. Gauge indicator is 0, 20, 40, 60 and 80 psig thru is range. Typically the accuracy of automotive gauges is 1 to 2 percent of range.

Thanks Johnny Smile

No that is true, the gauge does not care as long as it get a 0-90 ohm signal, it does however matter for the reading of the gauge if it is set up for a 90 ohm signal at 60 or 80 psi, now it is not so important on my GMC as the dial does not have and numbers on it, but if it had the gauge would show 40 psi at 30 psi with the 60 psi sender.
