I paid for the donor 78 GMC Royale as we were leaving for Rapid City on Wed. Hired a guy to go in with like a has mat suit to start evicting the mice, and the massive nest inside. Then when we get back home. I'm going to park our 64 Chevelle next to the GMC with a hose from the Chevelle tail pipe. To the interior of the GMC. Then start the Chevelle. After an hour. The mice should be dead. Or have got the hint that they should leave. The GMC is on a farm. I don't need to be moving them to my house. I don't trust any of the wiring. So I'm going to start, and drive it the 3 miles on country roads with a battery, electric fuel pump putting gas from a can directly into the carb. ( I'll cut the fuel line to the stock pump, and disconnect the alternator. ) Then take it to Serv Pro on the way home. To put the entire GMC in a chamber that will kill all smell, and any living thing. Then it will be fit to work on.Getting some great ideas at the rally.Bob Dunahugh

Bob, Your typical flea and tick bomb, available at your friendly pet store will kill any thing that uses O2 in it's life cycle. Seal the various vents on the coach with blue tape and release the bomb, according to instructions. Be sure and vent the coach afterwards. Beats trying to rig up an exhaust hose from a car. I use them to run southern bugs out of my coach. Ants are the toughest. I have them nesting in the interior insulation, between the walls. They are dead, or inactive. I did use a three pack, one a day, to kill this group.

You can rent an ozone generator from rental place.
Run that in there over a weekend. That is what i was told ny professional restoration contractor.
Also to be sure, Put a couple "bucket" traps in the coach. You can look up how to build them on google.
Please be carful smogging out those mice. Mice stench is one problem, exhaust smell could be a new one

Tom,
Except brown recluse spiders; to kill those buggers you need a special bomb. I discovered that when I got bitten by one a couple of
years ago in Humble, TX where I store Double Trouble.
I thought I had a boil and went to a clinic and when the doctor took one look at it and told me it was a brown recluse spider bite
and that I was very fortunate to have come in when I did as a bite from one of those little buggers is SERIOUS!

Having had the smell of decomp in mine after Mickey died in there, I would definitely try to drive them outta there instead of killing them in place. No more poison for me anymore, just physical traps so I know where to look and can get to them when they get caught. The smell of dead is just too much to stand for me, I'll never work for CSI...

Bob,
Have you seen this video:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8KKJ6Ksqlzw
The nozzle in the pressure washer is a single stream that rotates, it is SERIOUSLY strong! If you use this method you need to be
careful not to tear up any of the wiring.
This is the way I am going to strip the insulation out of Double Trouble. My thoughts were to put a large plastic box that has had
holes drilled in the sides near the bottom to allow the water to drain out. Depending on where I'm blasting pitch the GMC so that
water with entrained foam runs toward and out the door and into the box. When the box is near full I stop and bag up the Styrofoam.
If you decide to try this let me know how it works and if possible find someone to video you while you do it.

The ionization chamber should help smell, and safety. Then strip everything out down to the bar walls. I'm not going to use a vacuum
for this work. So I'll power wash the entire inside. As see it. One good soaking with soap, and water can't do any damage if it's
then properly dried. I know that this all seems extreme. But this is an extreme infestation. And we all know about women, and
their noises. Now back to the GMCMI rally. ( Any input welcomed. )
