Picked up my new to me Glacier on the 8th. A major tune-up and a front brake hose and she drives very nicely. Moving to fl as soon as the sale of my house closes. I'm not going to get too deep into the systems until I get to the Co-op.

Ralph - several of us will be in Wekiwa Springs State Park (Apopka) 7 - 14 December. Consider joining us for some or all of that week. We'll be in the 1 - 30 campsite circle, there are still spaces available.

Come on anyway, Ralph. We had to use the park showers last year because of tank leaks.

Ralph, Please come. Use the coach as a hard top tent, if nothing else. We have a very good time, "killing flies and telling lies". The park has extremely nice facilities, and as a Senior Florida resident, you get in for half price. Johnny cooks a great chicken dinner, and I intend to do one breakfast. Should also note there are restaurants nearby.

At the first GMCMI Convention I was able to attend there was a couple there (I can't remember their name) who used their coach as a "hard top tent". They had gutted the interior, except for the bath module, I think, and had a hide-a-bed along the left wall, and a couple of folding chairs. IIRC, they were headed across the country form New Jersey and had plans to work on the interior at their destination. Worked for them.

Welcome to the world of early GMC's. The 73/74's have some differences from the later years. When asking questions here use caution until you determine the asnwer is applicable to your Glacier. Most of the problem differences are with the house battery locations and connections.

Ralph,

Forgive the delay, but we are at Western States in Pueblo and I am way too busy to be at the keyboard.

Welcome to the group, family, cult, asylum....

Enjoy the coach, if you do not have all of the documentation you might like, it is all available for download. Don't worry if not everything works, as long as it is safe to drive.

You have a start and a good one at that, but you need to fill in your sigfile.
It needs to have your real name. (This is so when you meet with others, they you know who you are.)
A short about you coach, you may be there already.
And a geo-reference so those that might be in striking range to help know it. (the e-mail readers don't get to see the headers.)

So you know, in the early years, the models (Glacier, Sequioa, Canyon Lands and Painted Desert) were only color schemes. 23 or 26 matters, but even that is not all that huge until later.

You will soon discover that the coach not just another toy. It will be a part of you life. Part of this is the community that you have just joined. It is like few others. I thing it is like that of the watermen of my world. That is why I like to welcome new owners as a new vessel or owner would be welcomed there. So,

May the Good Lord bless this coach and all those that set forth within her.
Welcome Ralph.

Matt
