There seems to be some confusion. The Royales really have nothing in common with the GMC'c that got finished out internally by GM. They were an up grade that Coachman RV Industries did to GMC Transmodes. All the wood work inside my Royale is genuine walnut. Mine sold for just under $48,000 new in 78. I've come up with a plain to take the rear bath Royale. And modify it so that Linda can take her powered wheel chair from the front to the vary back. Have a handicapped shower, and toilet. Then add more cabinets. That's why I need Royale doors only. Everything is coming out to the bar walls. Then adding more wall 110 volt wall plugs. Then install separate invertor 110 volt wall plugs. More 12 volt plugs. Insulate the walls, and roof. Decrease the kitchen counter height by lowering. Or raising the floor by 3 inches in the kitchen area. All lighting LED. Really nice wood floor with ceramic tile in the bath area. Day/night window shades. Frame, and drive train is getting blasted, and painted. Quad bags, rear disc brakes with SS brake lines, all rubber gas lines replaced, and body pads. Then move the body to the to the fixed up frame, and drive train. Next widen the door by 7 inches. Then a partridge in the old tree. Then drive it to Alabama in March of 2016. Got a basket of Lemons. So I'm just making a lot of Lemon aid. This will happen one way or another. I well not have Linda, or me grounded.Bob Dunahugh78 Royale Convertible78 Royale Hard top.

Last week I dis-assembled my Royale upper cabinets. The face frames, doors and end caps are solid Walnut and well worth restoring. All the rest was some rather nasty veneered plywood which I discarded. The design and construction of these cabinets was not very impressive. The hidden under-cabinet dead space was an excellent roach motel. I won't use that design in the rebuild.
