Great article and kudos to our own Gary Bovee! If someone has a WSJ account, maybe they could post a nice comment below the article and mention the usual GMC links for others to follow?

Dolph,

Nice find!

Would have been nice if they had published a photo of a GMC and not the Winnebago's and Travco!

Great article. I just sold a 1965 Clark Cortez identical to the one shown in the picture. I'd owned it since 1991, but just didn't want to keep two senior motorhomes running. The Clark was, like the GMC, front wheel drive and built on a RV designed chassis, not a truck. The weight balance front/rear was far superior to the GMC and it would go places I'd never consider taking the GMC. My wife doesn't like going to "those" places any longer. I loved it, but wanted something a little bigger and more comfortable.

Jack,

My sister and Brother in law had a Cortez. It probably had better traction in some conditions, but it was sure not as nice a ride.... I know...

Rob,

I sent him some GMC pics hoping he would use one of them in the article. I also tried to get more club publicity but obvious that didn't happen either.

Gary,

A great portion of the article is devoted to the GMC but no picture! That's NUTS!

I agree with you, Rob. Lots of mention and no pics doesn't make sense.

There is no Manny for the Clark Cortez, as I understand it, nor sources for
many other parts. The Clark have a custom trans axle, the Kents have the
same set up we have.

My thinking exactly. They talk about the GMC and show pictures of "other" rigs.
