At an event this last week-end, I was talking to a guy into custom hot rods, etc. I mentioned my GMC. He said that there was a GMC parked next to or very near a local radio station in Haleyville, AL. This is near Cullman, AL. Anyone know about this one? Next time that I'm in the area, I'll go look for it, but this may not happen for awhile.

I live closer but don't remember hearing of one. Then again that isn't an area I frequent. Pretty remote as even Lewis Smith Lake doesn't go up that far. I know of one coach that looks like it's partially scrapped in the Tarrant area, just north of Birmingham. I've tried a few times to get the TZE but no one is ever there and you don't want to mess with the rotty that comes barking when you get near the fence. Haleyville is actually on the northwest side of Bankhead National Forest. North of Corridor X. You'd have to make a special trip to get there. As far as I know there just isn't much reason to be in that area.

Red bay isn't far North - they build custom SOBs up there. Newmar maybe?

Sometime at a rally I'll share a two beer story about being introduced to the town bootlegger by the chief of police inn Russelville al.
