I got the old one to work. The Garmin only wanted 4 columns of info (lat, long, name and other info) so I combined 3 columns into one and was able to get it imported.
Would like to be able to make it so the Blacklist is exportable to multiple brands of GPS units. That's where I think it has the most value.

I started to update my xls file a week or so ago, and after I got part way deleting lines that needed to go and started adding info for new entries, I
got bogged down finding street addresses of the new entires (the new blacklist standard) and got tired of it and discarded a couple of hours of work.
At the time there wasn't any interest in it.
Let me see what the Garmin file looks like and I will build one for you. When I get it done, I will email it to you (if I can figure out your email
address).
How fast do you need it?

Would like to be able to make it so the Blacklist is exportable to multiple brands of GPS units. That's where I think it has the most value. There is effort involved to make the blacklist importable to each brand of GPS. I have done files for Garmin, Rand Mcnally, TomTom and Magellan. And xls files for both DeLorme and Microsoft Streets and Trips.
Garmin (and others) requires lat and long, which has to be acquired separately from the people that are on/in it. Rand McNally and Magellan each use different column order, but they all use CSV files. TomTom uses OV2 files, which requires a proprietary editor to import and export. It has a proprietary ASCII format and you need the editor to work with the OV2 file after the xls or csv file has been converted.
Your old list is way past obsolete. There were about 650 names in it, 200 of them have been removed and about 50 added.
If you will give me a day or so, I will convert the blacklist that was updated last month and send it to you.

Sounds good. I can connect with Eric on the road and assist him with loading it.
I have a Rand McNally if you can send me the updated list for that.
Appreciate it.

the internet company Didn't consider that. That's the way to go with mobile internet, since you pay a premium for bytes. I think the web frontend might be slow on dialup too.
