Yesterday I pulled the exhaust manifolds to put new gaskets on, both were leaking. All the bolts came out except the center one on both sides, the driver side broke and the passenger side came out with the previously installed threaded insert attached to the bolt so I have some fun ahead getting those 2 repaired.

Both manifolds have some minor cracking, The LH has a previous repair that has started cracking again, I ground it out to re weld it. The RH manifold has 5 small cracks developing, I'm wondering if they are worth trying to save? and if they are the correct manifolds for the coach?

Here is the ground out crack ready to weld.

Are these the correct manifolds, they don't look the same one has ribs the other one doesn't.

RH manifold with 5 cracks starting. 5 red arrows.

Are these small cracks something I need to worry about?

Thanks

You might contact Peter at

a1huber at prodigy dot net

And ask if he still has manifolds for sale.

Being a 5 bolt, unbalanced pattern, after 30+ years of hot/cold the metal
is rotten. I would save all that labor and just install headers now...
good gaskets and retorque them a couple of times and your exhaust problems
will be over. Hey, it's just time...
