1 Fill crankcase with 10/30 Dino oil

2 Get an oil pump drive-shaft. Weld a 3/8 by 5 inch long rod to the end of the oil pump drive-shaft. Doesn't need to be perfect.3 Put the shaft you made into the hole that the distributor goes in. Care MUST be taken to 4 Use a 110 volt drill to power the oil pump. Have the drill rotate in a counter clock wise direction.5 Run the drill at a moderate speed. This can sometimes take up to 7 minutes to completely charge the entire oil system. Including the oil filter. The oil system is full when oil is coming out all the push rods. It's EXTREMELY important to not drop the shaft into the oil pan. This posses is very important to the future life of you're engine.6 Fill the carb with gas. Use a gear lube bottle with the spout. Cut the tip of the bottle cape at the smallest end. Or use a pump type oil can to put the gas into the carb air vent tube. About 1.5 oz will do it.7 Set the timing as close as you can.8 The engine should start instantly. If not. Find out what the problem is. 9 After it starts. Have it run at 2500 RPM's for about 25 minutes.10 I change the oil,/ filter after the 2500 RPM run in. I cut the filter apart to see what it caught.11 After that run in. I drive it as I always have.12 The next oil/filter changes is at 700 miles.13 Then after the next 2500 miles.14 There after I go the 3,000 miles.
