As can be seen, I have one of these metal rails that hold up headliner
originally, that is not screwed in, but hold up by something I do not
know what it is.

Apart from me wanting to know how you call these non-screws, how do I
get that thing off?

Its a pop rivit. 3/16" drill should do it. Did mine.
