I have a bad switch on the eyebrow board on my Norcold 600 series 3 way refer that is bad. It's the Electric/Off/Gas selector switch. I want to replace the switch but I haven't been able to find a replacement slide switch, tried Mouser and Digikey to no avail. I will change to a toggle switch if I have to but a slide switch would be nice.
Has anybody found a replacement for this switch? it's the one on the left in the pic.

You may find all it needs is a good cleaning. Desolder it, unbend the tabs and take it apart. Clean it with IPA (alcohol) and put it back together. Works most of the time unless there was a high current short in the past that melted contacts.
You can also use burnishing cloth very lightly to get rid of any corrosion, then clean with IPA.
Reassemble the reverse. Take care to put everything back where you found it and DON'T LOSE THE SPRING (if there is one  )

And, before you take it apart, spray the elixir in and exerceise it twenty or forty times. That switch isn't sealed, if cleaning will work, you saved taking it off and apart.

It has been cleaned several times on the board, Making contact isn't the problem the problem is it doesn't slide and hangs up then twists in the frame bending the frame that keeps it lined up and then it gets worse. I bent the frame back into shape several times but it's getting weaker every time. I will pull the switch and see if it's repairable but I think a replacement would be a longer lived fix. With the board out I can get it to slide supporting the whole length of the slider protrusion but when it's in the refer you can only push on the end of the switch and it rocks thus spreading the frame. This last trip I was able to use one blade of a pair of scissors to push the slider over into the auto position once we got set up and it lasted for the weekend.

Its been cleaned several times and now it has no lube in it anymore. I would probably be looking inside my scrap electronics, maybe a radio or a tape player, possibly even a TV would have one of those. If the plastic has developed a burr in there to make it stick, lube ain't gonna fix it unless you take it apart and fix the burr.
When avoiding removal and disassemblization (take that, spell check), I used to get good results from the spray can of tuner cleaner from Radio Shack, but when the industry went to electronic switches, the propellant vanished from the last half of a can and then the product vanished from Radio Shack, and then Radio Shack vanished  .

Love that word... you can still get a phone from Radio Shack, but that's about it.

Use that word anytime you want...no copyright involved  On your switch, where is the plastic film gasket/dust shield that is normally between the slider and the case? That gives it a smooth surface to slide on and closes the gap when the switch is moved to either direction. Not as long as the case, it moves back and forth with the slider.

Problem is those links go to switches with the slide out the top, which is normal. This one is an oddball out the side.
OP, If you have an electronics junkyard in your city, you may find one there.
Halted supply in Santa Clara, CA, is an example of such a place but you have to dig through the bins.
