Since you are looking specifically for an original Palm Beach, that one looks to be an unmolested unit that fits your wish list perfectly. The $23,000 asking price is very reasonable for the condition indicated by the photos so I would not be focused on price at this point. The Honda generator alone is worth a few thousand dollars premium over one with an Onan. It is always good to have an experienced set of eyes look at the coach for things like rust on the frame, brake lines and such so you may want to consider asking one of our posters who frequently picks up coaches and drives them back to the west coast to do that for you. If that is of interest, let me know and I will PM you his contact info so you can see if he is interested. Far better than trying to intuit anomalies on the road yourself. Once you get it home do the brakes, bearings and tires for safety, and then things as they present themselves. Talking to the owner via phone may answer a lot of your questions, but the price certainly seems well in line to me if the pics really do represent the condition. Enjoy!

Thanks for all the help Ken, Larry, and Rob. I really appreciate it...

I realize that it is a bit difficult from pictures alone. If I were able to verify the "newness" of these things does $20,000 +/- seem fair?

Also, if I were unable to find someone in the Chicago area who knows what to look for on the frame what would I be looking for?

When we were looking for our GMC, we looked at that one (SW Chicago). Its been for sale in various ways for at least 1-1/2 to 2 years. A lot of it was in really nice shape. However, there was a problem with the rear wheel/axle that the owner seemed unaware of. He indicated all of the tires were "new" and had only been out for one or two trips. However, the right rear tire was very worn on one edge. He said he hadn't noticed it.

We were pretty bummed because we were searching for a Palm Beach at that time. If you pursue it, I would have that checked to see if the problem was fixed.

We ended up with a nice Glenbrook instead. Good luck on your search.

Wow. Thanks for the info Nick. I really appreciate it. Btw, how long did you search for your Palm Beach before you went with the Glenbrook?

(*This place is great!)
