The Tidewater Crabs have a busy August ahead. August 8th, at least 4 TWC coaches will be participating in the All GM Show at Montgomery College in Rockville, MD. We encourage anyone in the DMV to come on by as we promote the heck out of these beautiful machines. (GMCMI president David Blackshear and his wife Sue will be at the show as well.)

The next weekend (Aug 14-16) we are gathering near beautiful Charlottesville, VA for our August rally. We may still be able to get more camping spaces if there are any folks would would like to join us. Please PM me if you are interested in attending if you aren't a member of the Crabs and are interested in joining us.

Do you know if any of the coaches were ones that were NOT at Montross?

Eric and Joanna will be there with their coach. They were at Montross without their coach. There may be a couple others that weren't at Montross as well. I'll keep you posted.

Just a reminder that the 41st Annual All GM Car Show is this weekend in Rockville, MD. The show is free to visit so anyone in the area interested in seeing some sweet GMCs please come on by. If you have a GMC Motorhome and would like to show it, please come. The cost is $20 which is a small price to pay to get publicity for these awesome Motorhomes. They loved having us there last year and are VERY excited we're coming back. (Plus we actually have our own category for "Best of" in the show... so the "best" GMC Motorhome will be going home with a trophy. Very Happy )

The address of the show is Montgomery College, Lot 2, 51 Mannakee Street, Rockville, Maryland 20850

Look forward to seeing anyone in the area there!

Had a great time at the All GM Show today. We probably had about 200 people walk through our coaches. Half of which said "I wish I hadn't done that because now I want to buy one.". Smile

It was great to meet Terry Kelpien and his wife. (Thanks for making the trip up, Terry)

Eric & Joanna Tanner of course came as well as Dave Blackshear.

If you ever have a chance to do a car show with your coach, take advantage of the opportunity. This is by far the best way to get attention for our coaches.

Anyone that can keep a carbureted, points/condenser/coil ignition engine running can own one with confidence that only a catastrophic suspension event will keep them from getting where they are trying to go.

Unfortunately, the majority of people don't know anything about an internal combustion engine, want low maintenance mechanicals, a working genset, plumbing and electrical infrastructure, and aesthetically pleasing interior/exterior. That's where the effort and expense weeds out the wannabees from the haftabees. The ones that are left are the DIYers, the ones with fat wallets, and the ones that can sleep in a box and pee in a can if a couple of house systems fail. All owners are some combination of the above.

So most of the TZEs are unused and abandoned.
