Bob Stone and I worked out a parking brake system for the GMC that uses reasonably priced and readily available pulleys on the cables. The pulleys take most of the friction and drag out. My coach was the test bed. Until now my parking brakes never worked in the 14-years I've owned the machine. Now they apply easily and hold well. Call Bob to get the low down and pulley ID's. 618-964-9124. He doesn't use a computer. If you call him you'll find that he knows a lot about the parking brake upgrade and GMC's in general. Among other things, he's also the guy that makes the Hydroboost hydraulic brake upgrade for the GMC. Call him if you want good parking brakes without a lot of expense.

"Emergency Brake" system is, at best, a parking brake. Yes, I know that work has been done that will produce a working emergency brake, but the OEM
set-up is not one.
