I'm preparing to take the front plastic headliner down for paint.

How do the visors come off?

The manual is not clear.

Mine were kinda stuck up in there. I kept twisting even after the threads
were clear because it was still tight. On the other side, I kept checking
by pulling down on it often. They're a booger! Get a tight fitting wrench
and take care not to round it off.

I used a medium sized crescent wrench, Lefty loosey, righty tighty. I think I also shot a drop of pb blaster on the shaft of the visor where it met the inside of the nut. This helped to free it a bit, That nut is spring loaded on the back end. Once the nut was broke loose, I would swing the visor all the way to the passenger side of the coach, then swing it back to the driver side with the wrench attached to the nut, so the visor was helping to do some of the work. Lots of swinging back and forth, but it will come out. As mentioned they are fine threads,

Installation I cleaned the threads and put a touch of anti-seize on the thread. Then push up with some force, and start threading it back in.(it seems like its a 3 handed operation) Then once its started, do the visor sweep a million times tightening the nut. Once it was in good you can check it by gauging the resistance of the visor swinging. If you want more resistance, tighten a bit more.

Not too bad of a job, It seems obvious now, but make sure you have clean hands a little anti-seize can make mess of clean visors...

Hope this helps.
