Those were some interesting observations from the Ford site. When ever I got home from a weekend of track time. I'd drain the oil. Pull the oil pan. And cut the oil filter apart. Generally only 2 to 300 miles on the oil, and filter. The oil pan on my Yenko is simple to pull. ( I buy the pan gaskets by the dozen. And my 10/30 diesel oil in 55 gal drums. ) I use that oil in everything I have. There was always contamination in the filter, and pan. The oil was discolored. As I've said before. I always change the oil, and filter after every trip in the GMC. Our engine put a lot of trash in the oil. There old tech engines. I never thought that changing the filter every other oil change made any sense to me.
